Terms of Service

Last updated: June 28, 2026

These Terms govern your access to and use of the Horus platform and website. Horus is operated by [Legal entity name], [registered address]. By using Horus you agree to these Terms. If you are accepting on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind it.

1. The service

Horus is a cybersecurity intelligence platform. The open-source edition is available under the AGPLv3 license for self-hosting. The managed cloud editions (Pro and Custom) are provided as a subscription, hosted and operated by us.

2. Accounts & provisioning

Managed accounts are provisioned by Horus when you complete a subscription purchase or through an enterprise agreement. There is no public self-registration. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity under your account, and for promptly changing the temporary password issued at provisioning.

3. Subscriptions, seats & billing

4. Non-payment

If a payment fails, your subscription enters a retry period during which access continues. If it is not resolved, the subscription lapses and, after a short grace period, access is suspended until billing is brought current. Your data is retained during this window so you can restore access by paying.

5. Refunds

Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable; cancelling stops future renewals but does not refund the current period. Proration credits from seat reductions are applied to future invoices.

6. Acceptable use

Horus is a defensive security tool. You may use it only against assets you own or are explicitly authorised to test. You must not use Horus to attack, scan, or probe systems without authorisation, to break any law, or to circumvent the security of others. Misuse may result in immediate suspension.

7. Your data

You retain ownership of the data you put into Horus. We process it to provide the service as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for the lawfulness of the data and targets you configure.

8. Availability & support

We aim for high availability but the managed service is provided "as is" without an uptime guarantee unless a separate SLA is agreed in writing (Custom plan). We may perform maintenance and update the platform from time to time.

9. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Horus is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amounts you paid for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim. Nothing limits liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Termination

You may stop using Horus at any time by cancelling. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, non-payment, or misuse. On termination, your data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction], and disputes are subject to the courts of [venue], without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.

12. Contact
